The 2008 races were held on Sunday, 31st August. Over six hundred runners took part in the main event, with many more taking part in the 3k fun run. The main event was again started by Provost Celia Lawson and hosted by Bob Smith.

 The race was won by Allan Adams of Shettleston Harriers, who was second in last year’s race and first lady home was Kerry Lang of Kilbarchan AAC.
